Basic Qualifications

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Mobile Device Administrator.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


Representative Duties and Tasks:


The Mobile Device Administrator will be part of a team that supports over 2,500 employees that use the Blackberry Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) software on a daily basis. The Mobile Device Administrator's specific job duties include:

  • Responding to service desk tickets
  • Working with employees to help them with the Blackberry UEM software
  • Working with Blackberry support to research and log issues
  • Applying patches to the Blackbery development environment
  • Executing test scenarios on the iPhone and Samsung phones to ensure issues are resolved
  • Scheduling production changes to upgrade the system
  • Maintaining our internal Mobile Phone page with current and relevant information
  • Working with various groups to communicate our capabilities
  • Work with teams across IT to quickly identify, escalate and resolve problems
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • Moderate business travel required

  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers' changing business needs. 
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the General Dynamics Mission Systems culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures. 
  • Follow industry trends and pursue technology innovation to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are cost competitive and superior to industry best practices 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Evidence of ability to follow detailed task direction and instructions on tasks of limited scope using entry level understanding of the Applications Admin discipline
  • Demonstrates personally accountable behavior and shows initiative and enthusiasm on assignments
  • Clear and concise oral & written communication skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Degree Types and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.  
  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management software is a plus
  • Experience with Blackberry's UEM software is a plus
  • Experience with iPhones and Samsung Galaxy Phones
